FIRM DONATES EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS TO OVER 1000 SCHOOL PUPILS


 

More than 1000 Pupils of Aina Memorial School and Meidan Nursery and Primary School, both along the Mile 12 axis of Lagos State, recently received back to school materials to aid their learning in the academic year.

 

As part of their ‘Love Always On’ corporate social responsibility initiative, Itel Nigeria, in a bid to support the educational development of kids, donated items such as mobile libraries, textbooks, storybooks, and school bags, along with essential food items to over 1,100 children.

 

Expressing their zest for enhancing the educational sector through altruism, Country Manager, Itel Nigeria, Veeki Chen said, “We have always had a soft spot for children at Itel. We are especially dedicated to creating opportunities for them and supporting their dreams. We plan to donate more libraries and educational items to schools nationwide because we believe this is our responsibility as a brand.”

 

Stating the inspiration behind the initiative, Marketing Manager, Itel’s West Africa Region 1, Oke Umurhohwo, explained that through the ‘Love Always On’ initiative, they have impacted various communities.

 

He said, “We aim to make a difference in the lives of children. We understand the vital role education plays in shaping the future, and we are committed to providing the necessary support to ensure these young minds have the tools they need to succeed.”

 

We have been doing this for over six years across different African countries. We have given over 80,000 direct support to schools in the last year of this mobile library programme.”

 

The school’s head teachers and pupils expressed gratitude for the donations.
